Years of work, one gap away from not counting.

The spreadsheet
A cell can be changed after the fact and nobody can tell. In an audit, that is a story, not a record.
The chase
Signatures pile up for the end. A minute's work while the hours are fresh becomes a crisis two years later.
The supervisor who left
Supervisors change jobs, retire, or stop replying. Unsigned months can leave with them.
The rule nobody flagged
In Oregon, a month short on supervision means that month's client hours do not count. You find out when you apply, unless something checks as you go.

3,000 dots. One for each hour Washington asks of a counseling associate (WAC 246-809).

The amber band is an illustration of one short month. In Oregon, its client hours would not count.

Log it. Get it signed. Keep it.

Three steps, in the order you will do them. Your supervisor only ever does step two.

  1. 1

    Log a session

Date, site, supervisor and the categories your state uses. About a minute each. Bring your old spreadsheet in with a CSV import.

  2. 2

    Your supervisor signs

Send a date range. They open one emailed link, review every entry and the totals, then sign or send it back with a note.

  3. 3

    The record locks

Signing freezes exactly what they saw. Download the signed PDF, or the board form your state asks for, whenever you need it.

Every hour, every signature, every form. One place.

Built around the documents your board actually asks for. These are real screens from the app.

Log a session in seconds

Date, site, supervisor and your state's categories. Filter by status, import an old spreadsheet from CSV.

The Log screen: seven entries totalling 12 hours 30 minutes, filters for category and status, and a table of sessions with category, date, site, supervisor, duration and status.

Sealed the moment it is signed

Signed entries lock. The history keeps who signed, when, and the record's fingerprint.

A proof pack, if they will not sign

One PDF, Record of hours and signature requests: what you logged and what you asked for, made at the time. When you go to your board or a new supervisor, that is the difference between a story and a document.

A signed period: every entry marked signed, a lock notice, and the history showing when it was sent, when it was signed, by whom, and the record fingerprint.

Hours recorded are not always hours that count.

Boards count hours by rules: monthly minimums, pacing, registration dates. HourSign shows what you recorded next to what the rule allows, names the rule, and warns you while you can still fix it.

Free for supervisors, forever

Your supervisor signs from an email link. Free, always.

The hardest part of licensure paperwork is often asking. HourSign makes the ask small: one link, a clear record, and a signature that means something.

  • One emailed link. No price, no card, ever.
  • They see every entry, the totals and any warnings before they sign.
  • Four deliberate steps: consent to e-records, read the statement, type their full legal name, confirm with a recent sign-in.
  • Something wrong? They send it back with a note. Nobody is forced to sign.
  • Emails carry only a link, never hour details.

All questions
Excel is free. Why would I pay for this?

Logging in HourSign is free too, forever. Excel can add up hours. It cannot tell you which hours your state counts, collect a signature that shows exactly what your supervisor saw, or prove later that nothing changed. You can bring your existing spreadsheet in with the CSV import, and you only pay ($29 a year) when you need a second period signed.

Will my board accept it?

It depends on the state, and HourSign says so plainly. Florida allows electronic signatures on its supervision log, so your supervisor can sign inside HourSign. Oregon and Washington ask for handwritten signatures, so HourSign prints a clean record for your supervisor to sign by hand. Always check the current form on your board's website before you send anything.

What if my supervisor leaves before signing?

Get each period signed as you go, weekly or monthly. Anything already signed stays signed and locked, whoever leaves. If a signature never comes, the proof pack is one PDF of every entry, when you asked for a signature, every reminder sent and every time the link was opened. It is not a signature, and it does not pretend to be one. It is a dated record made at the time.

Can I get my data out? What if I stop paying?

Yes, always. CSV export of your hours, and downloading anything you have had signed, are free on every plan, including after you stop paying. You go back to the free tier: you can still log, edit and export, and everything signed stays readable.

What about privacy?

HourSign records hours, dates, sites, categories and supervisors. There is no field for client names, and you should never type any. Emails carry only a link. The public check shows no names, no hours and no email addresses.

Does HourSign decide whether I qualify?

No. HourSign adds up what you logged, compares it with the rule set for your state, and shows warnings with the rule and a link to the source. Your board decides.

Which states are covered?

Researched rule checks for Oregon, Washington and Florida. Board-form PDFs for Oregon, Washington, Florida and California. In any other state you can use a custom tracker where you enter the numbers yourself, marked as not verified everywhere it appears.
