Accessibility

We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what is done and what is not. We would rather say what is missing than claim more than we have tested.

Target: WCAG 2.2 level AA

What this site does

  • Every page has a skip link to the main content as the first focusable item.
  • Headings, landmarks and lists are real HTML, so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Focus is always visible. A two-pixel outline in the site accent color, with an offset so it is never hidden by the element.
  • The whole site works with the keyboard. The small-screen menu and the questions on the FAQ page are native details elements, so Enter or Space opens them and the same key closes them. There is no JavaScript on this site.
  • Color pairs come from a token file that is checked with a contrast script. All pairs meet AA.
  • Layouts work down to a 375 pixel wide screen without side-to-side scrolling.
  • Tap targets on links and buttons are at least 44 pixels tall.
  • If your system says you prefer reduced motion, the page entrance and the signature stroke on the home page do not run, and all transitions stop.
  • The site follows your light or dark setting.
  • Text wraps at about 70 characters per line so long passages stay readable.

What we have not done yet

  • No screen reader test with a real user. Only automated checks and keyboard passes.
  • No formal audit and no accessibility conformance report.
  • The Open Graph preview image is an SVG and carries text as text, not as a caption.
